Background
The energy sector serves as a force multiplier. Contextually, energy frontiers connote renewable and non-renewable sources of energy as well as scientific studies and technologies being developed and deployed in the energy sector. By energy frontiers, reference is also made to observable, remarkable and persistent transition from carbon-based to renewable energy sources in the search for energy security in a rapidly changing geopolitical landscape. Energy security describes the sustainability, availability, affordability and continuous supply and distribution of energy for domestic, agricultural and industrial use as well as the criticality of the energy sector to national security.
