Welcome to Khomasdal Campus

Introduction

The Khomasdal Campus is mainly home to Teacher Education Students, and has recently introduced new transformed curriculums with specialisations in Early Childhood & Junior Education, as well as Senior Primary Education. The Campus is situated in the suburb of Khomasdal, Windhoek, and is located centrally, just across the road from the vibrant shopping centre, Khomas Grove, and a walking distance from the Medical Campus and other medical Facilities.

We currently offer four-year Bachelors of Education in Early Childhood & Junior Primary Education, Bachelor of Senior Primary Education and a Master of Education in Junior Primary, whilst the Bachelors of Education in Lower and Upper Primary Education are phasing out.

The Associate Dean of the School of Education is housed at the Khomasdal Campus as well as other key staff such as the Head of Departments.

Facilities & Stats

Home to a student population of 1208 students, the campus provides space for studying, by offering students with various lecture halls, rooms and labs.

The campus has 4 student residences, a campus cafeteria and various sports facilities. The campus has free Wi-Fi available to all staff and students, and also have a Library and Information Centre with a Computer Centre where students can work on assignments.

A variety of student activities are organized under the Student Representative Council, which functions under the Office of the Dean of Students. Students are further supported by a full-time Social Worker.

The campus offers a safe environment for students to pursue their academic and social activities.

Other facilities include a braai area, campus gardens, TV rooms and the leisure centre.
